An unusually red red fox; we have them in melanistic variants, some nearly pure black.   Close look – it’s at the limits of crispness – shows a deermouse in the mouth of the fox.  To be truthful, I know it’s there because I saw the fox take it and toss it; if I had only this photo to go on I would disbelieve.&#8221;</p>
