Hi Mr Harris
We live on Painter Hill Road and were wondering if the tracks around the horse fences was that of a Bobcat, they are large cat prints found in the snow coming from Jacks Brook behind our field?

Just saw a Bobcat in Harwinton by the lake. It ran across the road and stopped to look at me. It didn’t seem concerned about me at all. I thought it was strange because of the amount of houses around the lake compared to the rest of Harwinton. It was at dusk.

Hi, I saw a Bobcat today, March 31st, 2010, running across Rte. 190 in Somers CT. It looked just like the above pictures only I don’t think it was quite as well fed. It was very near my home so I will be on the look out for tracks in my back woods.

Hi, my neighbor saw a very large bobcat on Chase Road in Thompson. Now I have 2 missing cats. Apparantly they will eat cats! The bobcat was seen on the side of the road very early in the morning.

I was weeding my garden early this evening in Portland, CT. It became dusk and as I was squatting down I heard a growl, as I turned around I saw a bobcat staring at me. It stopped for a bit and then continued on.

3:45pm 7/25/10 – Saw the same bobcat for the second time in my Backyard. in Middletown (off Atkins). Its a bit alarmig because he walks around right by my young daughter’s playscape. Are they dangerous? Should I call animal control?

I’ve seen two bobcats off my condo deck in Derby just off Route 34 and have heard one of them “calling” at night too. Tammy from Middletown, I wouldn’t worry too much as long as you are out there with her when she is playing. I have a 4 and a 1-year-old and since I became aware of the bobcat presence I told my older daughter she is not allowed out on the deck by herself. They are generally very shy animals though and should be scared away easily if you were to go outside.

Chris hi, Just went walking on Currituck Rd, Newtown, Just at the end of Currituck where it meets rt 25 a Big Bobcat walked out right in front of me. Scared the hell out of me, I am sure it was the same one you saw Size of a medium Size Boxer.
It stopped in the middle of the road to look at me, approx 25 yards away. Not sure if i did the right thing but i yelled at it and it just walked into the woods at the end of Currituck rd. Time was 6.30 PM Aug 21st. If you live in that area keep an eye out.
